Bedrock Quartz is hiring for a Construction Project Engineer. We are recognized throughout the region as a leader in the industry and a trustworthy company to do business with. We sell to the residential, commercial, and production builder markets. This position will focus on the commercial market where we import stone and wood building products from all over the world and distribute them to key markets throughout the US. We offer quality products at a fair price, and we strive to provide them with excellent service. We have beautiful showrooms in West Jordan, Pleasant Grove and Layton.

Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities
Review shop drawings for architectural design conformance, functionality, and accuracy
Perform takeoffs and organize them by unit types, color schemes, and building phases
Generate accurate purchase orders
Manage project documents such as submittals, change orders, and RFI s
Perform site inspections for quality and progress
Review change directives and create well written change orders
Communicates innovative ideas and identifies cost saving opportunities
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Ability to read blueprints
Effective communication skills with a natural ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with management, vendors, and contractors
Must be an organized and detail oriented person
Basic understanding of construction principles. Experience with cabinets or countertops preferred.
Hardworking and honest to a fault
Basic understanding of Excel. Experience with takeoff software is a plus.
Additional Information
Compensation
$12-15/hr DOE. Applicant can expect to receive on the job training and mentoring as needed. Great benefits include access to health insurance, vision, and dental insurance after 90 days. Paid holidays and vacation after one year.
