The Division of Human Resource Management (DHRM) is looking for a motivated, self-starter to be part of our recruiting team.
This role will help build out and maintain a recruiting and hiring infrastructure to support our recruiters and hiring managers in their efforts to attract and hire quality talent and make Utah state government an employer of choice.
This position will be in office one day a week and remote the rest, office located at the Taylorsville State Office Building 4315 S 2700 W Taylorsville, Utah.
All candidates selected to fill vacancies at the Division of Human Resource Management (DHRM) may be reassigned to other work locations within Salt Lake or Utah counties at any time based on business need.

Example of Duties Develop and manage workflows, business processes, and standard operating procedures for recruiting and hiring Train and advise recruiters on business processes, standard operating procedures, and other best practices and strategies for recruiting and hiring Participate in recruitment related projects such as the implementation of a new human capital management system Manage several hiring pathways and programs aimed at attracting and hiring diverse and qualified talent Analyze recruitment trends in the state government and make recommendations for improving recruiting processes and strategies Lead or assist with recruiting efforts and initiatives as assigned Work closely with the senior business analyst and information technology team on any issues that arise with the recruitment and/or offer acceptance systems.
Provide backup for the SBA team when needed.
Typical Qualifications Experience with full life cycle recruiting including preparing, sourcing, screening, selecting, hiring, and onboarding Knowledge and application of best practices and strategies for effective recruiting and hiring Strong interpersonal skills, especially the ability to network and establish professional relationships Ability to manage multiple programs, projects, and tasks at a time Good analytical and problem solving skills Preference may be given to candidates with process improvement and/or systems thinking skills Preference may be given to candidates with experience writing business practices and standard operating procedures Supplemental Information Employment contingent on passing a background check.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
