4K a year 3 days ago 3 days ago 3 days ago We are looking for a Part Time Bather to help in our busy groomery at a veterinary clinic.
The purpose of a bather is to help the groomer set up grooming area, greet each pet and client and effectively communicate with clients to obtain specific grooming instructions, prepare shampoos and dips, and bathe the pet.
Dependable attendance and attention to detail is a must.
Hours are Monday-Friday but may vary daily, open/flexible availability is preferred.
Job Duties include, but are not limited to:
Greet clients and get specific grooming instructions.
Verify that pet is current with necessary vaccines.
Ensure that medical records contain client's current address and all telephone numbers, i.
e.
home, work, cell, pager, etc.
Ensure that pets are properly identified with ID collar and cage cards.
Bathe patients.
Take direction from groomer on what needs to be done for each patient.
Help groomer with basic duties such as cleaning, restraining, nail trims and anal gland expressions.
Communicate to client any health conditions found on their pet and make appointment to see doctor if necessary.
Enter charges in the computer.
Experience:
Must have good knowledge of grooming equipment and products and know grooming techniques on all breeds, which should include:
bathing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, anal gland expression, brushing and drying.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Grooming school classes and/or certificate preferred.
At least 2 years grooming experience preferred.
